Ed Cardoza at Spiritual Directors International

Compassionate Accompaniment: Deploying Spiritual Direction in Times of Trauma and Tragedy is the title of Ed Cardoza's workshop at Spiritual Directors International's Annual Conference, Cultivating Compassion. In the workshop, he will explore lessons learned from providing spiritual direction to victims and first responders to the Earthquake and Cholera Epidemic in Haiti. Through that exploration, he hopes to discuss with participants how catastrophic events impact an individual’s sense of self and the Sacred and examine some processes and skills needed to compassionately tend to others in difficult and unexpected circumstances.
